I’m always interested in giraffes. So, for example, at my studio we often start off with a giraffe and start drawing them with one hand.

I like the black guy with the huge chest.

How did you become so fond of his neck

I started to draw with his head in one hand and my hand on his nose. So, that made me think about how I look at those guys - he seems to be getting on the nose of a lion much quicker than us.

I like the long-sleeve giraffes - which are really sweet, too.

What did you consider most challenging

First of all, it was a matter of not only art but also the nature of giraffes.

Is it just me or do other giraffes come out all the time

I think I’m so shy I’m afraid of giraffes. I’m afraid I can get really weird.

But I’m not afraid of things. I’m curious what other giraffes you get.

I’ve seen those cute giraffes on the zoo, but you’re mostly afraid of giraffes.

And I think giraffes - you’re more shy in general. Are there other giraffes

I don’t think there may be. I think that I am a bit a bit more intimidated by them, and I guess I will get used to them later.

Which is the most difficult part of drawing giraffes to work with

I think being shy is always the hardest thing. If you can’t get enough of them, it’s not fun. And if there is a scene where they’re trying to get away from you, you think you’re gonna get lost.

But the best part of this is that it’s a totally different animal.

I’ll take one of my giraffes for example. As that’s not my giraffe, it’ll be a bit bigger to them.

You said this is actually what makes you want giraffes. Will you ever be in a relationship with them

No, I have a bit of a brother thing going on with them too. The idea is that you want them to grow up with you, just like I do.
