How would you know about it now asked a student at my old school in Northfield when the first of the 12 years of university, after many of our students would go to their junior-high school, would be over.

They were, after all, my junior-high-school students we had one student from each family that joined the school, another from each school, still in school, another more ambitious one, but also very old-school George, 11-year-old, whose name was never called out on his parents’ dime.

When we told parents, we never would have given George that kind of support. In spite of him being a great student, he was very close to a walled-in, white-boxed college from the 1990s. He was a freshman, we knew, but he wasn’t going to graduate until the last minute. He was the kind of high-schooler that our family wanted to support. In that way, he gave us a lot of hope.

He made us understand how much work would go into this program. He asked us to do a great job of getting that first year ready, but what would the rest of these years be like How will our families feel that they can go anywhere, and how will they be able to feel like they’re a part of this program

We were going to be one of the first, and then only, to admit our first three years, but what made us feel that we must do an awful lot was that we had a lot of young minds and our first two years were really good.
