A. The landlord pays the Rent for the rent. The cost of living does not have to be more than what the tenants receive from the landlord. But this applies to rent, utilities, heating, the utilities for the building and any related expenses such as utilities and car insurance.

B. The rent charged to you for rent is not taxable in Germany if it is an annual fee. The rent is calculated by using the standard rate. The monthly or annual rent, if applicable, is deducted from the payment of the rent. However, if it is paid by a third party on a fixed rate basis for any purpose other than rent, the monthly or annual rent is subject to tax.

C. This is only for the rent paid by the landlord. A third party is responsible for paying the costs associated with your building project.

D. Some parts of the rent paid to your landlord, if you live in Freiburg or Frankfurt, is the same as any other person paying the monthly rent. However, some deductions might be applied.
