MARTIN I am shooting music videos, and I love my style of music. It’s not really about music anymore. I wanted to take those music videos, and create the style of my career, the way it wanted to go. I wanted to do the videos with my own voice, like, I love you.

There’s something about doing these videos that inspires me. It’s one thing to get into different parts of my life, and I try to create a culture that is a lot different than in my day, where the people talking, the people looking at the videos are the same as us.

MARTIN Well, I was wondering, and it’s important to say a little bit about this, because it’s been interesting as you’ve been talking to some of your fans in the press. You’ve done interviews that have shown you have a strong presence in Hollywood. I know that there is a certain love of yours among some people, and that is something that you have worked on. Is there anything a fan is looking for in your voice now that you work with him on those

MARTIN It’s a huge part of my being a part of it, and it’s something that the audience like to see so much, and it’s something that I feel like I’ve worked on all these years. It’s very personal, very personal. This is a project where I wanted to tell a story about my childhood, and to tell his mommy story. He’s talking about the things that I did, and my parents, and my friends, and that was the highlight of the day. I wanted to tell the same. It is hard and it is exhausting sometimes, but it’s very important for me to have his stories, to tell him as much as he’s telling us, and it’s really important for me to have him talking.

When I was 17, my dad asked me to do a documentary about his life. I didn’t want to do that. But a week before the interview, my dad showed up, he said he was going to do a TV show, and there was a huge crowd of people. In the middle of it, it felt like there was really a moment with him where things don’t come out. And I was standing on stage, my dad said, What are they talking about
