I’m not about to judge anyone (except for my son). I’ve been playing some music and I’ve gotten some great things done, I did my first gig a while back, in my bedroom at 7 a.m., I put it on Spotify and the music went on over at a certain bar. I was playing the best part of my life and the part that I wanted in my life, I didn’t go to that bar because my mom didn’t want me. I went up there because I wanted to see the real people who were here and I wanted to get on stage and perform I think.

Are you surprised that there was more than one version of the song.

No, actually, I got a really interesting response from a couple of my friends so I decided to take it down there myself and then try to make one that did a live show. I don’t know, I’ve had a couple of shows with a bunch of different people but I’d have to say one that had a different kind of audience.

When did you start putting out the music on YouTube

At that point there were so many that were doing the same thing. My wife, my son, her mother, her brother-in-law, my friend, we did some live shows there and we went and put these videos. And here it is, you got my reaction. Because we did our live shows at our house and there’s so much more from it. We’re also friends with my friend John and we’re friends also with her. She doesn’t like to go out with me. So all of these things go into making these videos and you get the response you want.

I get a little anxious talking when a few people get into making videos. I get this question about the first few years for the internet, and here you see this picture of my son going out to make music while I’m with this girl who’s wearing this shirt. Because, I think if that girl was wearing the shirt, she’d be better doing those songs for her fans than playing on the internet. And if it’s not a fan-friendly shirt, what’s that
