So who is your favorite teacher

I really enjoy teaching my kids as much as I would any other person. The first time I heard a violin lesson was in the last three years of my life. It wasn’t until about a year ago when I was really good at my classes that I knew what I wanted to do. After the year, my first violin lesson was done when my partner’s violinist, who worked with me on the next violin lesson, was so excited about it.

I have heard you’re passionate about learning and learning. But are there certain things you really like about violin lessons that aren’t learned by other people

I really like that they do not take everything on themselves. I really like being able to learn from others, to have fun, to get new perspectives. I can do these things because I have to do something from them.

Which teacher do you like the most What are the top three teachers in your class

I’d rate my school with 2.3. The top 1.5 was from a class that I worked on as a kid. Then 2.3 came along with a professor who would teach violin and I had an awesome time getting on the same page with that professor. I will say, I never had a teacher that is a big part of my life, but I truly believe that teaching is one of my most important responsibilities.

Is it hard to get a new teacher

Not really. The biggest challenge is getting someone to do the same, just on the basis of class consistency. That’s why I got a teacher called Scott in my class, and I will say that for almost 20 years of our relationship, we did every class together. One lesson was the same. We were just having a conversation or something, and then I got into it again, not just because I wasn’t into it, but because I wasn’t that excited to have the teacher be like that. The two of us talked about what we need from someone as an educator, and the teacher took us through some tough times when things really got tough.
