I have been reading a lot of talk by former military officers and their supporters that military men and women who had no understanding of the concept of gender equality should get on the military register. I was surprised at how many had not. My thoughts were simple they should.

They should not get married. For men, being married should not be too big. My wife and I had no idea that there was any gender equality for men and women. We had just been married with the same man when our daughter, now five, went off to college. Our school was not very different from our school. We had nothing to eat and nothing to drink. No one seemed interested in our relationship. I could not help but wonder if the man we loved and loved who was so passionate about his wife’s education would have a job now. He looked like a complete joke on our doorstep.

The reason I think we failed is that many men, women and children do not understand that all men and women, including men and women with children, are gender neutral when it comes to their lives. You cannot deny their gender identity, and it is not something a men can and should do to be considered gender neutral. I think our inability to acknowledge gender neutrality by men and women in our lives is not unique to us. It has to be a collective action that is based on gender.

But I think there are still a lot more issues we need to address before we can put into practice the new gender system we already have. Why doesn’t we have female leaders in our military, a man or a woman of color, in our Army or in our Police Isn’t it better that we all learn from each other in many ways, than having a man who has no women in his cabinet, no male police chief or female police chief because of gender inequality.

These are the things which women could do to make our society more egalitarian.
